Power Being Gradually Restored in Suva Areas Following Major Fault, Says EFL

The Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) has confirmed that power supply is gradually being restored to parts of Suva following a fault that earlier disrupted electricity in multiple areas.

In a statement, EFL said the outage had affected customers in Vodafone, Home of Compassion, American Embassy, Mead Raod 2, Vunakece Road, Rups S/D Nabua, Mead Road 1, QE Barracks 1, Sukanaivalu Road 1, QE Barracks 2, Salato Road, Namadi, MH, Mead Road, Shakunta Heights, Verrier Road, Ragg Ave 2, Padam Lala, Panapasa Road PDMNT, Ragg Ave, Wailoku Treatment Plant, Tamavua Village, Lower Naranji Street, Viti Apartment, Navurevure Road, L.D.S PDMNT, Tamavua Hospital, Fiji School of Nursing, Samabula River and areas nearby.

"Our team has identified the fault and restoration efforts are currently underway. Power has already been restored to some areas, and we are working as quickly as possible to bring supply back to the remaining affected customers,” the statement read.

EFL apologized for the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience.
