Prime Minister Addresses Informal Complaint on Employment of Corrections Commissioner's Wife
FIJI NEWS

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has acknowledged receiving an informal complaint about the hiring of Fiji Corrections Commissioner Dr. Jalesi Nakarawa's wife as a nurse at a Corrections Service center.
Rabuka mentioned that the Constitutional Offices Commission would review the matter once an official complaint is submitted.
Dr. Nakarawa clarified that the job vacancy was publicly advertised, and his wife applied and went through the selection process independently.
He emphasized that he had no involvement in her appointment.
Dr. Nakarawa also noted that FICAC officers had recently searched for the interview folder but had not contacted him since.
