Prime Minister Announces Cabinet Reshuffle: Tabuya, Tunabuna and Kuridrani Appointed

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has announced key changes to his Cabinet, including the appointment of two new Ministers and one Assistant Minister.
Hon. Lynda Tabuya has been named the new Minister for Information, taking over the portfolio currently held by the Prime Minister himself. In announcing the change, Rabuka said Tabuya was well-suited to lead the government’s public relations efforts through the Ministry of Information.
Hon. Tomasi Tunabuna will now serve as Minister for Agriculture. He previously held the role of Assistant Minister in the Ministry and will succeed Hon. Alitia Bainivalu, who had been acting in the position following the passing of the late Hon. Vatimi Rayalu.
Additionally, Hon. Inosi Kuridrani will be appointed as Assistant Minister for Agriculture.
The appointments are expected to take effect following the official swearing-in ceremony before His Excellency the President on Tuesday, 5 August 2025.
