As the new academic year kicks off this week, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is urging parents and children to step up their game in managing time effectively.
Highlighting the importance of collective effort in education, PM Rabuka stressed that discipline, especially in time management, is key to academic success.
"The most important thing that perhaps is lacking is discipline—our discipline, our own parenting discipline, and the children's discipline, particularly discipline in the use of time," he remarked.
"A lot of the results that are coming out indicate that we are not disciplining ourselves and our children in the use of time for education."
PM Rabuka also encouraged parents to make the most of the government's support and actively participate in their children's education.
With Term One of the 2025 academic year starting tomorrow, hundreds of students are set to return to school after a seven-week holiday, ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
