Prime Minister Rabuka Engages Savusavu Business Community on Marina and Foreshore Concerns

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka met with members of the Savusavu business community on Friday, 1 August 2025, to address ongoing concerns relating to the Copra Shed Marina and the Nawi Island foreshore lease.
The meeting, held at the Savusavu Town Council chamber, brought together business representatives and government officials to discuss the removal of the Copra Shed Marina mooring and provide updates on the Nakama Geothermal Canal.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the importance of dialogue in resolving local development matters and expressed appreciation to those who shared their views. He emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting responsible development guided by the rule of law and long-term public interest.
Relevant authorities also briefed the Prime Minister on the legal, environmental, and investment aspects of the issue.
