The Ministry of Health is advising the public to take extra care to prevent Dengue Fever following heavy rain and flooding in the western division and other areas of the country.

People are encouraged to destroy mosquito breeding sites by getting rid of stagnant water in containers, clearing blocked drains, and cleaning up waterlogged areas. This will help reduce the number of mosquitoes that spread Dengue Fever.

The Ministry is working to prevent the spread of Dengue Fever and other diseases such as Leptospirosis, Typhoid, and Diarrhea.

The Ministry is focusing on raising awareness, encouraging clean-up efforts, and improving community education to protect people from these illnesses.
