Questions Surround Appointment as Rachel Olutimayin Joins FNU

University of Fiji academic Rachel Subusola Olutimayin has joined the Fiji National University, amid reports reaching Duavata News that she is expected to become Acting Head of the School of Law; however, we can't locate a job advertisement for a lecturer or the head of school position.

Duavata News has conducted searches of FNU’s publicly available recruitment channels and other major online job platforms and, to date, has been unable to locate any publicly advertised vacancy or evidence of an open recruitment process for the Head of School of Law position.

Duavata News also understands that she has been given the Assistant Professor Title - again, we could not find a vacancy.

FNU has been asked to provide details of the process through which Olutimayin was recruited and selected but has so far not responded to those questions.
