As the strike at the University of the South Pacific (USP) enters its third day, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro is seeking updates from the USP Council on how to handle the situation.

Minister Radrodro reminded everyone that Fiji is part of the Council and that it should be allowed to make decisions about the strike without outside pressure, especially from the media.

He stressed the need to respect the Council's independence and judgment.

Radrodro emphasized that the main focus should be on prioritizing children’s education and minimizing disruptions, especially with exams approaching.

As the Minister for Education, Radrodro hopes that both parties can resolve their differences peacefully and encourages open dialogue to settle the issues the "Pacific way."
