The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) has confirmed that the head coach of the Vodafone Fijiana XV, Mosese Rauluni, has resigned.

This decision comes as Rauluni recognizes that the recent results have not met the high-performance standards he set for the team.

He has opted to return to Australia to be with his family.

“We are grateful for his hard work and dedication to Fijian rugby. His leadership will be missed by FRU team and the rugby community,” Nayacalevu said.

“This decision has not been an easy one, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Fijian Drua, Fiji Rugby Union staff, board, and players for all their support over the past year. I wish the team all the best on the road to the World Cup,” stated Rauluni.

FRU Chief Executive Officer, Mr Rovereto Nayacalevu said they respect Rauluni’s decision and understand the importance of family.

Rauluni will complete his contract with FRU after the Vodafone Fijiana XV's participation in the WXV 3 in Dubai.

Their final game is against Spain at 4:30 AM on Sunday.
