Review of Education Act 1966 Concludes With Valuable Stakeholder Input

The Ministry of Education has wrapped up a four-day workshop reviewing the Education Act 1966 at the Pearl Resort, with key contributions from stakeholders across the education sector.

Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, thanked all participants for their time and insights, which will help shape a more effective, transparent, and accountable education system.

Discussions focused on key issues such as school governance, curriculum reform, system structure, and student safety.

Legal guidance was also provided by the Fiji Law Reform Commission and the Office of the Solicitor General.

Next steps include inter-ministerial and public consultations.

The Ministry is committed to ensuring the revised Act meets the evolving needs of Fiji’s education system.
