Review of Mineral Bill and Policy

Cabinet reported that it had been updated on the review of the Mining Act 1965, the Mineral Exploration and Exploitation Bill (MEEB) 2006, and the Mineral Policy 1997.

The review was said to be aligned with the Fiji 2025–2029 National Development Plan and Vision 2050, which aim to create a sustainable mining sector that supports employment, income generation, foreign exchange earnings, and government revenue.
