Businesswoman, Riddhi Damodar, has spoken out against the cyberbullying directed at Mrs Bainimarama over rumors regarding her involvement in a new political party.

In a statement, Mrs. Damodar expressed her disappointment at the level of online harassment Mrs. Bainimarama has faced, urging for more respectful discourse on social media.

"It's disheartening to see the level of cyberbullying directed at Mrs. Bainimarama over mere rumors of her involvement in a new political party. Social media should be a space for healthy discussions, not a platform for tearing people down," she said.

Mrs. Damodar described Mrs. Bainimarama as a dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother, emphasizing that public figures should not be subjected to unwarranted attacks.

"We must remember that behind every post, every comment, and every rumor is a real person with a family, feelings, and dignity. I hope women’s organizations will stand up for her as well," she added.

She called on Fijians to rise above political differences and create a more respectful and inclusive social media environment.

"Let’s rise above the hate and practice respect, regardless of political views. Stop the bullying. Stop the toxicity. Let’s build a better Fiji together," Mrs. Damodar stated.
