Students of Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) have received a major boost to their academic resources with the handover of brand-new desktop computers valued at over $36,000.

The computers, aimed at supporting computer classes and enhancing students' academic performance, were officially handed over by the Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Sakiusa Tubuna, during a ceremony held at the school chapel on Friday, 21 March 2025.

Speaking to the students, Assistant Minister Tubuna, a former RKS scholar himself, urged them to make the most of their time and resources at the institution.

“Do not be complacent when you are here. Look for something meaningful to lay your hands on — read books and read more books,” he said.

He encouraged students to set clear targets and goals from the moment they enter Form 3 (Year 9), instead of waiting until their senior years.

“We want to hear positive news of the school, that students have passed their academics with good results. Don’t allow any time to pass by aimlessly — be purposeful,” Mr. Tubuna added.

He reminded the students that the skills and discipline they build at school will shape their futures beyond the classroom.
