Sayed-Khaiyum and Sagar to Appear in Court This Afternoon

Former Fijian Broadcasting Corporation Pte Limited (FBC) CEO Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and current CFO Vimlesh Sagar are in custody at the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) and are expected to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Sayed-Khaiyum is facing two charges: Abuse of Office and General Dishonesty – Causing a Loss. Sagar has been charged with one count of General Dishonesty – Causing a Loss.

The charges relate to the tender and procurement of a 3.0L Volkswagen Touareg vehicle valued at $207,470.00.
