FIJI NEWS

Exclusive information obtained by Duavata News reveals that police have apprehended a suspect, referred to only as Mr. Ali, in connection with a series of thefts involving sacred Hindu idols.
According to inside sources, Mr. Ali is believed to have repeatedly stolen these idols as part of a personal vendetta, allegedly sparked by a situation in which a Hindu man allegedly eloped with his wife.
In what sounds more like the plot of a Hollywood movie, sources indicate that the suspect intended to use the idols in black magic rituals as an act of revenge.
The suspect is allegedly being questioned for 13 alleged cases of theft of religious idols.
Police in the Namaka area have been investigating these incidents over recent weeks, and this arrest is considered a breakthrough in the ongoing case that has troubled the local community.
The official statement from Police stated that the thefts were not political.
More details are expected to emerge as the investigation continues.
