Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Heavy Rainfall and Flooding Expected in Parts of Fiji
FIJI NEWS

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for several areas in Fiji, with heavy rainfall expected to cause flash flooding.
The warning, issued by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 2:30 PM on Thursday, January 23, affects the interior and southwestern parts of Viti Levu, including Momi, Sigatoka, Coral Coast, Navua, Serua, Namosi, Interior Nadroga, Navosa, Naitasiri, Bua, western Macuata, and western Cakaudrove provinces.
A moist northeasterly wind flow is bringing this heavy rain, and a low-pressure trough is approaching from the southwest, making conditions worse.
Severe thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy downpours, which could lead to dangerous flooding in these areas.
