St. Thomas Aquinas Primary School Holds Prefect Induction Ceremony

St. Thomas Aquinas Primary School in Navesi held its Prefect Induction Ceremony today in a solemn and heartfelt event.
The ceremony began with a special Mass celebrated by Fr. Sanjey Kizhakkinedath, the parish priest of Immaculate Conception, Lami.
The students of St. Thomas Aquinas Primary School led the congregation in hymn, filling the church with their melodious voices.
During his homily, Fr. Sanjey emphasized that true leadership is about being a good shepherd and guiding those in one's care.
Following the badging of the newly elected prefects, each leader was presented with a rosary, symbolizing their commitment to service and faith.
The Mass also carried a moment of reflection and mourning, as Fr. Sanjey spoke about the recent passing of Year 8 student, Ratu Mosese Cagilaba, who tragically passed away last Sunday at 4 a.m.
His classmates,close friends and cousins were visibly emotional during the service, shedding tears in his memory.
Ratu Mosese will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Following the induction ceremony, parents, families, friends, and loved ones gathered at the school to celebrate with refreshments before being dismissed.
The event served as both a joyous occasion marking new beginnings for the student leaders and a time of remembrance for a beloved member of the school community.
