The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a strong wind warning for land areas in the Lomaiviti, Northern, and Central Lau groups.

The warning for Rakiraki, Western Bua, and the Yasawa Group has been canceled.

Currently, southeasterly winds of up to 45 km/h are expected in the affected areas, easing later today.

Other parts of Fiji will experience moderate to fresh southeast winds and rough seas.

Cloudy periods with brief showers are forecast for Suva, Nausori, Tailevu, Kadavu, and nearby islands, while most other areas, including Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, will have mainly fine weather with possible isolated showers in the afternoon or evening.

In Rotuma, a strong wind warning remains in place due to an active convergence zone causing heavy rain, thunderstorms, and rough seas.
