Successful Raids in Sakoca Lead to Multiple Arrests

The Southern Division task force conducted two successful raids in Sakoca yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu reported that the first raid resulted in the seizure of substances believed to be methamphetamine.

The Fiji Police Dog Unit and Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU) assisted in the operation, detecting the alleged illicit substances and items believed to be stolen.

The suspect was taken into custody as investigations continue.

In a second raid in Sakoca, two men were arrested following the discovery of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana and various stolen items.

Both suspects, in their 30s, remain in custody as investigations proceed.

ACP Driu also mentioned that additional arrests for unlawful possession were made in Sigatoka, Nadi, and Taveuni.
