FIJI NEWS

The Fijian Government has approved its involvement in a new project to fight climate change in Taveuni.
This project will fund work by the Ministry of Forestry to restore the Forest Reserve Blue Line and improve water catchments in the Taveuni Forest Reserve.
The project is supported by the Kiwa Initiative, with funding from France, the European Union, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
It also involves Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna, and various conservation and community groups.
The aim is to protect ecosystems and help communities better deal with the impacts of climate change.
