Teachers to Receive Long-Awaited Salary Adjustments
FIJI NEWS

Fijian teachers who have upgraded their qualifications will finally receive overdue salary upgrades, says the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro.
A total of 395 teachers will receive 50 percent of their salary adjustments this month, with the remaining 50 percent scheduled for January 2025.
In addition, 103 Assistant Principals will see an increase in their salary bands, distinguishing them from Heads of Departments.
Speaking at the inaugural Fiji Teachers Registration Authority and Ministry of Education Annual Congress at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Nadi, Radrodro praised teachers for their commitment to improving their professional skills and expanding their expertise into areas such as Management.
He emphasized the government’s appreciation for their efforts and reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring educators are fairly compensated.
“These payments demonstrate our government’s pledge to recognize teachers’ hard work and ensure they receive what is owed to them,” Radrodro stated.
The announcement has been well-received by teachers, who see it as an important acknowledgment of their dedication to professional growth and their role in shaping Fiji’s education system.
