The Minister for Health and Medical Services, Honourable Dr. Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Waiqele Nursing Station, which is expected to serve more than 6,000 people.

Health Minister, Dr Lalabalavu says the facility is estimated at $25,000, which will significantly alleviate the increasing pressure on the Labasa Health Center.
The Minister adds that the community is eagerly looking forward to the expected completion in April next year, filled with anticipation and hope for the future.
He states that the access to quality health services is not merely a right but a necessity for every individual and family in Fiji, as a healthy population represents the cornerstone of a prosperous community and a resilient nation.
