FIJI NEWS

A third horse has been purposely burned in Wailoaloa, leaving the community shocked and heartbroken.
The horse was tied up behind the big white warehouse opposite Grace Road when the cruel act happened.
The injured mare is now getting care thanks to Animals Fiji. Casey Quimby, the Co-Founder and Managing Trustee of Animals Fiji, said they gave the horse antibiotics and pain relief.
“This is the third horse hurt like this in Wailoaloa. It’s very upsetting, and we need everyone’s help to find out who is doing this,” Quimby said.
The horse will be taken to a sanctuary tomorrow morning to recover in a safe place.
SPCA Fiji is also asking the public to help, they want anyone who knows something about these cruel acts to speak up. “These horses are suffering. We need to find the person responsible and make sure this stops,” Quimby added.
If you see anything suspicious or have any information, please contact Animals Fiji or SPCA Fiji, Even a small tip can make a big difference.
The mare is safe for now, but she carries deep scars from this terrible act.
The community is being asked to come together to protect animals and ensure this never happens again.
