Three Permanent Secretaries Reassigned

The Public Service Commission (PSC), with the Prime Minister’s approval, has announced changes to the roles of three Permanent Secretaries.

Dr. Raijeli Taga, currently working in the Office of the Prime Minister, will become the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting February 3rd, 2025.

Dr. Lesikimacuata Korovavala, who now leads the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will move to the Office of the Prime Minister on the same date.

He will also act as the Permanent Secretary for Immigration.

Mr. Manasa Lesuma, who is the Permanent Secretary for Housing, began additional duties as the Acting Permanent Secretary for Policing on January 14th, 2025.

PSC Chairman Luke Rokovada said these changes are meant to improve leadership in key government ministries.
