Three players returned positive results from drug tests conducted during the pool stages of the 2026 Extra Battle of the Giants.

The Fiji Football Association has confirmed that a total of 72 drug tests were carried out across the three days of pool competition, with three returning positive results.

Two of the positive results were recorded on the opening day of the tournament, while another player tested positive on the third day.

There were no positive results recorded on Saturday, the second day of pool competition.

The testing formed part of Fiji FA’s measures during the tournament, with players from the participating teams subjected to drug screening.

The identities of the three players who returned positive results have not been disclosed.

The Extra BOG now moves into its knockout stage, with the semi-finals scheduled for this weekend at the 4R Stadium in Ba.
