National Federation Party President and Defence Minister Pio Tikoduadua is encouraging more iTaukei people to take part in the NFP’s work and direction.
Speaking at the Party’s Working Committee Meeting at Ba Sangam College, Tikoduadua said the NFP has always had a strong multiracial foundation, and that understanding the Party’s 62-year history is important.
He said iTaukei chiefs had played key roles in the Party’s beginnings and were never afraid to speak the truth, even when it was uncomfortable.
Tikoduadua said telling the truth is sometimes hard, but avoiding it holds back progress. He urged members to keep promoting honest conversations for unity and national development.
