TikTok resumed operations in the US Sunday morning after a brief shutdown, following President -elect-Donald Trump’s promise to restore the platform.

The ban, implemented over national security concerns regarding its China- based parent company, ByteDance, left millions of users without access.

Trump announced plans to delay enforcement of the ban, seeking a long-term solution through a potential joint venture with a US company.

While the move has reassured TikTok’s users, critics argue the app’s security risks remain unresolved.

CEO Shou Chew expressed gratitude, but the platform’s long-term future remains uncertain.
