TISI Sangam Fiji Condemns Desecration of Holy Ramayan, Calls for Swift Action

TISI Sangam Fiji has strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Ramayan at the Vunicuicui Shiv Mandir in Labasa, calling for an urgent police investigation into the matter.

The organization’s president, Hon. Parveen Bala, described the act as unacceptable and a direct attack on religious freedom and sacred traditions upheld by the Fijian community.

The incident, which took place during Ram Naumi—a sacred period of prayer and devotion in honor of Lord Rama—has deeply saddened and outraged the Hindu community.

TISI Sangam Fiji is urging authorities to take immediate action to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
