TLTB Honours Academic Excellence at USP Graduation with Prestigious Award Sponsorship

The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) has reaffirmed its commitment to education and leadership development by sponsoring the Most Outstanding Master of Commerce Thesis award at the University of the South Pacific’s April 2025 graduation ceremony.

The award, presented at USP’s Laucala Campus, recognised postgraduate students who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.0 or higher. Recipients received a gold medal and a $1,500 cash prize, proudly sponsored by TLTB.

TLTB Chief Executive Officer Solomone Nata said the sponsorship reflects the Board’s broader mission to support quality education and build future leaders who can contribute to Fiji and the region.

“This award is more than just a recognition of academic excellence — it represents our commitment to nurturing future leaders and professionals who can meaningfully impact their communities,” Nata said.

He added that the initiative also strengthens TLTB’s partnership with one of the region’s top learning institutions and helps identify emerging talent for potential recruitment.

This year, the prestigious award was jointly presented to Ms. Diviya Darshani Narayan and Ms. Nitika Nand. Board Secretary Mr. Salimoni Karusi presented the awards on behalf of TLTB, congratulating the scholars for their dedication and research excellence.

USP extended its appreciation to TLTB for its continued support, stating the partnership not only benefits students but also helps bridge academic excellence with real-world development and leadership.

“We are honoured to contribute to the success of our graduates and the advancement of higher education in Fiji and the Pacific,” Nata added.
