Trump says he won’t deport Prince Harry: ‘He’s got enough problems with his wife’
WORLD

Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he has no intention of deporting Prince Harry, who currently resides in Montecito, California, with his wife, Meghan Markle.
“I don’t want to do that,” Trump told the New York Post. “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
Trump’s remarks come after he previously accused President Joe Biden’s administration of “protecting Harry” and suggested that he would not do the same if re-elected. In a 2023 interview with the Daily Express, Trump criticized Harry’s treatment of the late Queen Elizabeth II, calling it “unforgivable” and stating that Harry would be “on his own” under his administration.
In his latest comments, Trump also weighed in on Harry’s relationship with Markle, claiming that the Duke of Sussex is ‘whipped’ by his wife.
Trump has been vocal in his criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, particularly regarding their strained relationship with the British royal family. In a 2023 interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, Trump objected to reports that Harry and Markle received U.S. security protection upon their arrival in the country.
The criticism has been mutual. During the 2016 presidential election, Markle openly criticized Trump, calling him “divisive” and “misogynistic.” Trump later responded, calling her remarks “nasty.”
Meanwhile, the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, has been pressing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for information regarding Prince Harry’s U.S. visa status.
The foundation alleges that DHS may have improperly granted him a visa, particularly after Harry admitted to past drug use in his memoir, Spare.
