Fiji Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has held discussions with senior officials of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) during his official visit to New Zealand.

Commissioner Tudravu was attending the graduation of Fiji Police K9 handlers when he also visited the PICP head office. He met with Executive Director Nicholas Brown and Executive Coordinator Julian Bianco, where talks focused on strengthening regional cooperation in response to growing transnational crime across the Pacific.

The briefing highlighted the work being carried out through the PICP network to enhance collaboration among Pacific law enforcement agencies and ensure Pacific voices are represented in wider policing structures.

Commissioner Tudravu reaffirmed Fiji's support for the PICP and acknowledged the success of regional training programs held both in Fiji and around the Pacific.

The Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police brings together the heads of 22 national police services to share information, improve coordination, and develop regional strategies for a safer Blue Pacific.
