Two Charged with Murder Following Death of Woman in Nausori

Two individuals will appear at the Nausori Magistrates Court today, charged in connection with the alleged murder of a woman in her 30s over the weekend.

According to police, the victim was brought to the Nausori Health Centre on Saturday by her partner—the first accused—with visible injuries. Medical personnel pronounced her dead shortly after arrival, prompting a police investigation.

Preliminary findings indicate that the victim had been picked up by her partner from Nausori Town on the night of Friday, 16 May. Police say further investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly assaulted by both her partner and a second accused, a woman also in her 30s.

The two has been charged with one count of murder.

They are expected to be produced in court this afternoon.
