Two Dead in Fatal Bau Road Crash, 17-Year-Old in Police Custody

Two men have died following a motor vehicle accident early Sunday morning, with a 17-year-old now in police custody for allegedly causing their deaths.

It is alleged that the teenager took the car keys from his father while he was asleep, and was driving along Bau Road when he struck the two victims who were standing by the roadside.

He then reportedly fled the scene.

The suspect later informed his father about the incident, who subsequently reported the matter to Police.

The victims, both in their 40s, were rushed to the Nausori Health Centre where they were pronounced dead by medical staff.

Police investigations continue.
