Two men previously charged in connection with an aggravated robbery in Raiwaqa have been further charged in relation to a second robbery case in Samabula.

The men, both in their 20s, were initially arrested for allegedly robbing a 15-year-old student of her mobile phone and cash on the night of June 19, 2025.

They were apprehended by the Southern Division task force, charged, and appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court last week.

They were remanded in police custody as investigations into other related cases continued.

Following further enquiries, the two were linked to another incident that also occurred on June 19, in which they allegedly threatened a 35-year-old man in Samabula and stole assorted items.

Police say all stolen items from the second incident were recovered.

The men have each been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and are expected to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today in relation to the second case.
