Two Women Killed in Naboutini Crash

Two women have died following a head-on collision at Naboutini along the Queens Road.

Police say one vehicle veered onto the opposite lane and crashed into an oncoming car. The driver of the first vehicle died at the scene. Her passenger was rushed to Navua Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the second vehicle was treated for injuries.

Investigations are continuing to determine what caused the vehicle to drift into the other lane.

This latest crash raises Fiji’s road death toll to 67 for the year, compared to 54 during the same period last year.
