After a Red Sea tourist boat sank on Monday, Egyptian rescuers were able to find five survivors and four bodies during a search operation yesterday.

As per the previous update, 33 people were rescued out of 44 passengers, and seven are still missing after Tuesday's search.

The victims found on Tuesday are being kept isolated, as their identities have not been revealed by authorities yet.

Currently, two of the missing passengers are confirmed to be British nationals.

The four-deck vessel, carrying 31 passengers and 13 crew members, capsized after being struck by a large wave near Marsa Alam.

Maj-Gen Amr Hanafi, the Red Sea Governor, confirmed that 28 people were rescued, with a few additional survivors located later.

The 44-meter boat was on a five-day trip from Marsa Alam to Hurghada but encountered rough seas and high winds, despite warnings from the Meteorological Authority.
