US Airstrikes in Yemen Kill 31 After Houthi Threats Over Gaza
WORLD

At least 31 people, including women and children, were killed in US airstrikes on Yemen following threats from the Houthi rebel group to target Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea.
The attacks, which took place on Saturday night, marked a significant escalation in regional tensions.
According to Yemeni media, nearly 40 air raids struck multiple provinces, including the capital, Sanaa, and the northern Saada region.
The Houthis condemned the strikes, vowing retaliation and reaffirming their support for Palestinians in Gaza, where Israel’s blockade has entered its third week.
US President Donald Trump, who was playing golf when he announced the strikes on social media, described them as “decisive and powerful.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister called on Washington to end its support for Israel, and Hamas denounced the attacks as a violation of international law.
The situation in Gaza remains critical, with Hamas rejecting Israel’s conditions for a ceasefire.
The latest developments further complicate diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the region.
