Vanuatu United Spank Krishna’s Bula FC in Melbourne

Vanuatu United delivered a dominant performance to defeat Roy Krishna’s Bula FC 2–0, sending the private club from Fiji to second from last on the table.

This was Vanuatu's first win of the competition.

Despite missing three key starters through suspension, Vanuatu controlled the match with intensity and discipline, breaking the deadlock in the 43rd minute through Alex Saniel before Kathy Iamak, making his inclusion in the starting lineup count, sealed the victory with a second goal in the 57th minute.

Vanuatu United’s defence stood firm throughout to maintain a clean sheet, capping off a composed team performance that ends weeks of near misses and hard-fought draws while earning a crucial three points to boost their position on the table.

38-year-old captain and striker Roy Krishna, around whom the squad was built, again failed to make any impact and has failed to score in the last five games.
