The Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has pledged $20,000 to support relief and recovery efforts after a devastating earthquake in Vanuatu.

The donation was handed over to Vodafone Vanuatu’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Ravendra Chand, at the Vodafone Headquarters in Tamavua.

The funds, part of the Vodafone Red Alert (VRA) program, will help rebuild communication networks in affected areas.

This will ensure communities can connect with emergency services and receive important updates.

“Communication is crucial during disasters. It’s about saving lives and rebuilding hope,” said Vodafone Fiji CEO, Ms. Elenoa Biukoto.

The Foundation’s Chairman, Mr. Ivan Fong, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation, saying, “Our support for Vanuatu shows our commitment to helping communities recover.”

This donation reflects the Foundation’s dedication to resilience, recovery, and regional solidarity.
