The Aero India 2025 airshow is currently underway in Bengaluru, drawing global defense leaders, aerospace giants, and military strategists eager to witness the latest advancements in air power.

As one of the largest aviation exhibitions in Asia, the event is a showcase of cutting-edge military technology, featuring aerial displays, defense industry collaborations, and discussions that will shape the future of air combat.

This year, however, all eyes are on India’s decision regarding its next-generation fighter jet. With an aging air force, growing security threats, and increasing regional competition, New Delhi finds itself at a pivotal moment.

The arrival of two of the most advanced fighter jets in the world—the American F-35 Lightning II and the Russian Su-57 Felon—has added excitement to the show as the two aircraft face off for the first time.

India, the fourth most powerful military force globally, is in dire need of a stealth-capable, high-performance jet to maintain its aerial superiority.

Aero India 2025: More Than Just an Airshow

Aero India is more than a spectacle of supersonic maneuvers and aerial dogfights—it is a battleground for global defense deals and strategic partnerships. With representatives from the United States, Russia, France, Israel, and other military powers, India has the opportunity to negotiate defense agreements that will shape its future air force.

US President Donald Trump and Narendra Modi are expected to meet soon and the F35 will most certianly be on the agenda.
