Women’s leadership is not a luxury but a national development priority, says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Hon. Biman Prasad.

Speaking at the Women’s Leadership Pipeline “Pulse Check” Panel hosted at Pasifika Communities University, DPM Prasad reaffirmed the Coalition Government’s strong commitment to advancing gender equity and inclusive governance.

“The Coalition Government commits to building a Fiji where women’s leadership is not an exception but a norm,” he said.

DPM Prasad emphasised that empowering women to lead across all sectors of society is essential to Fiji’s progress and stability, not just a matter of representation.

The panel session provided a platform for government officials, civil society, and emerging women leaders to reflect on the progress of gender initiatives and identify key areas for improvement.
