The 2025 Island Acro GymFest brought together young athletes from across Fiji on 22 November, celebrating teamwork, creativity, and the growing strength of the country’s gymnastics community.

The annual event—hosted by Head Coach Michelle Lassen at the VOU HUB in Nadi—continues to expand each year as Coach Michelle drives the development of Gymnastics for All and unites clubs nationwide through training, workshops, and competition opportunities.

This year’s GymFest focused on youth empowerment and confidence-building through sport. Athletes took part in TeamGym and Performance challenges, while the audience was treated to energetic routines from the discipline of Aerobic Gymnastics.

Children also enjoyed a variety of workshops led by Coach Ms Lassen, including FreeG, Trampoline, and Tumbling, giving them the chance to explore new skills and build their confidence in a supportive environment.

The event strengthened collaboration among gymnastics clubs, with participants from Flight Club, AeroGym Suva, and Kidsfirst Fiji joining the festival. Organisers say the exchange of skills and the camaraderie among athletes were among the highlights of the day.
