Casket of Former Minister Agni Deo Singh Arrives in Fiji

The casket of former Minister for Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations, the late Hon. Agni Deo Singh, arrived at Nadi International Airport on Friday (19-09-26), accompanied from Brisbane by his Permanent Secretary, Maritino Nemani.

The late minister was received by Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Manoa Kamikamica, Minister for Justice Hon. Siromi Turaga, senior government officials and staff members from the Ministry of Employment.

Family members and close relatives of the late minister were also present at the airport to receive his casket.

The arrival was an emotional moment for those gathered, as family members, colleagues and government officials paid their respects to the former minister.

The late Hon. Agni Deo Singh passed away in Brisbane following an illness. His casket was escorted to Suva, where funeral arrangements are underway.

The late minister will be laid to rest at Raralevu Cemetery in Nausori on Sunday.

Members of the public wishing to pay their final respects may attend the funeral service at Rishikul Sanatan College from 9am to 12pm.

The late minister is being remembered by colleagues, family members and members of the public for his service to the country.
