Bill Gates Named in Dutch COVID-19 Vaccine Lawsuit as Court Hears Bioweapon Allegations

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is among several prominent figures named in a Dutch civil lawsuit over COVID-19 vaccines, with the case attracting renewed international attention following reports of a court hearing in the Netherlands.

The lawsuit was filed in 2023 by seven Dutch individuals who claim they suffered injuries after receiving COVID-19 vaccines and allege they were misled about the safety of the injections.

The defendants include Gates, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla and former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

The plaintiffs have made serious allegations about the development and safety of COVID-19 vaccines, including claims that the injections were biological weapons.

However, these remain allegations made by the plaintiffs. No court has established that COVID-19 vaccines were designed as biological weapons or intended to kill people.

In October 2024, a Dutch court ruled that it had jurisdiction to hear the case against Gates, rejecting his argument that the proceedings should not apply to him.

That ruling allowed the civil proceedings to continue but did not establish wrongdoing by Gates or any other defendant.

Reports circulating this week claim that a three-judge panel in Leeuwarden heard further arguments on October 22, 2026, including allegations concerning the vaccines’ safety and purpose.

The defendants have disputed the allegations.

The case has generated considerable attention on social media, where posts have claimed that Gates has been ordered to appear in court because COVID-19 vaccines have been officially classified as biological weapons.

That claim is misleading.

The lawsuit is a civil proceeding, not a criminal prosecution, and the court’s consideration of the allegations does not mean they have been accepted as fact.

COVID-19 vaccines have undergone extensive scientific testing and safety monitoring worldwide. Although rare serious adverse reactions have been identified, there is no credible scientific evidence that the vaccines were deliberately developed to kill people.

The Dutch proceedings remain significant because they involve internationally prominent figures and allegations concerning one of the largest vaccination campaigns in modern history.

The outcome will depend on the evidence presented and the court’s findings, rather than claims circulating on social media.
