Police Probe Missing Cocaine From Suva High Court

Police are investigating missing cocaine from two separate drug cases held as exhibits at the Suva High Court.

Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu confirmed that 12.9 kilograms of cocaine linked to the 2018 John Nikolic case was reported missing in March.

The investigation also involves the Joshua Aziz Rahman case, where cocaine exhibits were allegedly replaced with flour, salt and sugar.

Police found the exhibit room’s biometric system had been unplugged, while some CCTV cameras were not operational.

A total of 27 people have been questioned, with six judicial employees identified as persons of interest. One is currently overseas.

Investigations into the missing exhibits and security breaches are continuing.
