SVC Students Visit Phos Haven Children’s Home

Students and teachers from Swami Vivekananda College (SVC) visited Phos Haven Children’s Home as part of a community service initiative.

The visit included members of the Vivekananda Service Club, a Japanese exchange student and teachers. The Japanese exchange students donated clothes, stationery and towels for the children.

The home cares for 14 children, with some attending boarding schools and others attending special schools. The visitors were warmly welcomed and entertained with songs by the children.

The group said the experience provided an opportunity to reflect on service, compassion and gratitude.

SVC also received a wish list from the home and plans to coordinate further donations and organise another visit.

The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to its motto, “Learning to Serve, Serving with Love.”
