APMT Hosts First-Ever Book Launch Celebrating Fijian Women’s Voices

Australian Pacific Management & Training (APMT) has hosted its first-ever book launch, celebrating Fijian writing and storytelling through the work of author Manpreet Kaur.

Kaur’s collection of short stories, Nakama: The Village Within, explores village life and the experiences of ordinary women whose resilience, struggles and strength often remain unheard.

The launch also featured a literary conversation with Fijian writers Dr Atelini Bai, Dr Khemendra Kumar and Guest of Honour Paulini Turagabeci of Kulawai Press.

The speakers shared their experiences and reflected on the importance of writing and storytelling in preserving memories, shaping communities and inspiring new ideas.

APMT said the event reflected its belief that education extends beyond the classroom, with books and stories playing an important role in community development.
