Fuel and LPG Prices to Rise From October 1

Fuel and LPG prices will increase across Fiji from Thursday, October 1, 2026, following the latest review by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC).

Diesel prices will rise by 20 to 22 cents per litre, while petrol will increase by 5 to 6 cents per litre. Kerosene prices will also increase by 10 to 11 cents per litre.

LPG prices will increase by 82 cents to $1.07 for a 4.5kg cylinder and $2.20 to $2.86 for a 12kg cylinder.

FCCC said the increases reflect higher international fuel and LPG costs, influenced by geopolitical tensions, supply disruptions, freight costs and exchange rate movements.

The October prices are based on fuel and LPG imported in August, with international oil and LPG markets remaining volatile.

FCCC said the new regulated prices are legally enforceable, and retailers must not sell regulated fuel and LPG products above the prescribed maximum prices.

Enforcement teams will conduct inspections nationwide to ensure compliance.
