RKS Students Reap Benefits From School Farm

Students of Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) are benefiting from a successful harvest from the school’s crop farm, with more than 115 kilograms of fresh vegetables now destined for the school kitchen.

The harvest included pumpkin, Chinese cabbage and bele, which will be used to supplement meals for students.

The farm was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture through land preparation, drainage works and technical guidance provided earlier this year.

It has also become a practical learning space for Vocational and Forms 3 and 4 students, who participate in farming activities, including planting and nursery management.

The initiative is helping students gain practical agricultural skills while contributing to food security and healthier meals at the school.
