Fiji Women’s Chess Team Records 3-1 Victory Over Bhutan

Fiji’s Women’s Chess Team has secured a 3-1 victory over Bhutan at the 46th World Chess Olympiad, continuing its campaign with an impressive team performance.

WCM Cydel Terubea led Fiji’s charge on Board 1, defeating Bhutan’s WCM Huang Limboo Asha.

On Board 2, WCM Tanvi Radha Prasad also secured a win against WCM Lhaden Yeshey.

Meanwhile, Latileta Masau recorded another victory on Board 4 after defeating Pema Tshenden. The result marks Masau’s third international win of the Olympiad.

Women’s Captain WFM Hilda Vukikomoala Kunau praised the team’s performance, saying the result was important as Fiji prepares for its next round.

Fiji’s Open Captain CM Goru Arvind also noted that all members of the Open Team have now registered points at the tournament.
